Six pilgrims from Maynaguri in Jalpaiguri district were seriously injured in a road accident in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The group, belonging to one family, was traveling by auto-rickshaw from Radha Kund to Vrindavan when a speeding vehicle collided forcefully with their auto. As a result, one person’s leg was severed, another suffered a severe head injury, and one individual went into a coma. The remaining three passengers also sustained serious injuries.
Local residents immediately came to assist the injured and alerted the police. On receiving the information, officers from the Mathura police station arrived at the scene and arranged for all six injured to be admitted to a nearby health center for treatment. The current medical conditions include critical injuries for some victims, and all are under close observation by healthcare professionals.
The accident occurred while the family was on a pilgrimage to Radha Kund and Vrindavan. Authorities have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident, focusing on the cause of the collision and the identity of the driver involved.
